and it sounds weird...but the BMW synthetic 5W30 currently available is the best stuff. I know, people think it's the same as what's sold in Wal-Mart, etc., but when they told me the last version was made by Valvoline, I went out and bought some since the BMW stuff was not available in Canada. To my surprise, the oil was 'black' after 2k mi., whereas with the BMW oil...it held it's warm brown appearance after the full 7,500k-8,000 mi. interval. This is all I'll currently use.
