I read some place that when they dynoed a car a I believe a bmw M3 with K&N air filters it lost 1HP at the drive wheels and because it supposedely allows finer particles to enter the engine they did not use it. Any comments on this?

K&N Filters on the 850 ,either replacement or cone type WILL slow the car down IFF you have a stock exhaust! The intakes allready flow too much air for the exhaust! Headers, no cat convertors, free flow mufflers DIFFERENT STORY!
