Stan,

Just read your post from 2000 on the CAM position sensor. Sounds very much like my problem. Still mystified as to what the cause and effect relationship is between the symptoms and the cause. Anyone have any tips and hints on finding/replacing the cam position sensor(s)?

Thanks.

Kevin

Sometimes I feel like I'm always repeating this, but I had the exact same symptoms from the Cam Position sensor going (if bad, replace them both). Note that I've been told the following, but I'm not sure if it's true -- if a bank of injectors is shut down by a system fault, the fuel line back pressure could blow out a fuel pump (especially if old).

Stan C.
