Visited Circuit city today---no good. Help!!! (archive)

I was at Circuit City today and picked up an antana adapter recommended by the sales guy. It didn't work. It was made for the 7 series. I went back to circuit City and they looked in the book for me and couldn't find anything under the 850.
I don't have a goodguys around me. Any other ideas?
