You drive the car for a few years BMW find a fault in the material and give you a brand new engine regarless of the mileage ,and even 5 years later and you call that a big problem??I take that problem any year

Joseph, you have no problem replacing entire engines but you don't like one because you read some posts about relativly minor problems?
Both are great engines, you have to consider the block on the v8 or the intake gaskets on the v12.
I take issue with the idea of dismissing either of them based on heresay. If you own a v8 you can comment on it but what do you know about the v12?
I just don't want to have important 8 series discussion degrade to 'mine is better than yours' crap.
