Dear David,
1) remove mat from floor of trunk.
2) remove rear side cover of trunk by just squeezing and pulling. use the hand hold. be careful that you do not rip off the top cover of the CD.
3) Remove the cd from the bracket. I believe it is just one screw and the unit lifts out of a slot. Can't quite rememeber
4) remove electrical connections
5) remove bracket 4 screws total 2 at top and bottom
6) battery is now accessible to be removed/serviced/looked at.
7) shouldn't take more than 5 minutes.However one does not have to go to this trouble if you by a laboratory 500ml squeeze bottle and attach a hose to the neck. By utilizing this bottle to service the battery all you have to do is steps 1&2.
Ideal for filling batteries with distilled water.
a small mirror and flashlight to determine acid level will also come in handy.
