Actually, I believe that the sensors are paired left and right, not top and bottom. The left set are a pair of a crank rotation sensor and pulse sensor for one bank and the right set are the pair for the other cylinder bank. You can tell because the plugs are color coded, white and black.

Why not just pull the connector during warm up to determine if this is the cause, and then isolate which side. Connectors are in the front, under the oil filler, hidden by the oil catch tray, which simply pulls off. Top connectors.

Heck, I'd reseat all four just for the hell of it. Bottom two are the pulse sensors for the ignition system. Can't hurt.
