I will work and look nice, since it is wider. I use Yokohama AVS intermediate 245/50/16. No problem. The BMW TIS indicated that E31 can take as much as 265/45/17 in front !!. Hope this help.

I ordered the Pilot Sports 245/50/16 and now I'm worried that they will not fit. I was looking at the rims on the car and I can't figure out how they can accomodate a wider tire (10mm right?) since it looks as if the 235s it has span the entire rim already. Has anybody used this size configuration with success on the stock rims?
