My question today is about the surface rust. There are many different products on the market and I was wondering which you have decided to use. My guess would be one with acid that actually cleans the rust as opposed to those that mix with the rust. However I have heard many opinions that say the products mixing with the rust are long lasting. My initial thought, especially with an old Bently I'm working on is to remove all the surface rust, even taking everything apart first and then spraying the rust preventative or mixture product on the metal as a primor or base coat and then painting all the parts requiring paint and then powdercoating all the parts that are meant to stay metal finish. Your input on this would be valuable especially as to the method you use on the CSi.
Thanks, Kurt
We've heard about, read about it, and talked about it. But personally, I've never seen it until now.
Attached is the AHK unit (which I wiped clean before taking this pic), which hydraulic actuates the arm on the right to tilt the angles of the rear wheels. The difference in handling with AHK is remarkable. The car feels much more agile, and understeer seems significantly reduced.
Obviously, the heavily salted roads of German winters have taken a toll on the undercarriage of my car. Lot's of work to do . . .
