either
a. too many oil has destroyed a seal
b. they took a bolt out of an oil pan and never put it back (happend to me 2x)
c. the drain plug is leaking (not likely)

I had the b. version twice, so since then I do my own oil change and never let a trained mechanics close to a car ! They make a huge profit on the oil pan gasket repair !
