The turn signal relay is in the fuse box in the
engine compartment. My original one said something
in German indicator it was the flasher unit.
The replacement did not. You'll need a good
size crowbar for your wallet; the BMW part was
something like $60. Not the most expensive
part on the car, but still a little steep compared
to other makes.

It's an easy DIY job.
