I was told that E31s never came with Xenon lights, not
even the newest models. Due to the hidden nature of
the headlights on the E31, it is not even possible to
install Xenon lights on them, I was told.
Is this true, can anyone confirm a successful fitting
of Xenon lights on their E31s?

Hello Jane,

indeed, that's the case.
To my knowledge there does not exist any kit you could retrofit .
The car was equipped with the elipsoid headlights in Europe, the most advanced system in the days the vehicle got introduced.Those systems aloww you to install various types of bulbs, even such types that spend a bright and blue light/beam.
But it requires the installation of the euro headlights.

Anybody knows more about it ?
