Surely it is indeed sad and a sign that it is time for them to stop and look around and ask a few of those friends they trust to 'tell them the truth', not just kiss their ass and say yes to whatever they proclaim, that it was indeed totally unnecessary to remove Philippe and or references to his website from this board. Simply because this board "Is impregnable by it's very nature", just like George Foreman, never been knocked down by any challenger at any time, while allowing any and all to come and go regardless of their BMW involvement or supposed minor competition to this board. In fact, the existence of Philippe's web site was a testiment to the intelligence and the obvious strength of this board and those who run it, as a pro-bowl player helps the rookie starting out. In this case if the rookie is fortunate enough to gain acceptance and success in the BMW world it will only expand the success of this board as well, as JFK put it so succinctly "All the Ships Rise with the Tide"!
When Philippe was banned it was a giant proclimation to the world, (picture Alan and Charlie walking around with a large banner saying "We are afraid"!)that small thinking has somehow creapt in where the creative thinking once ruled, when the owners/managers of this site took it upon themselves squash like a bug the bothersome and pesky little guy with a great idea that was actually catching on! It was a dreadful mistake and I truly would not be surprised if after reading this post here that they will arbitrarily decide to remove me now and ban me from the site as well, wow, is this the BMW association we signed on for here? at this supposedly up to now 'free and open board of expression and sharing'?
Alan and Charlie, what you truly need to do is spend a little more time contributing in a positive, intelligent and diplomatic manner to these boards, such as answering e-mails like the 3 or 4 I have sent and never received an answer to as well as several other posting contributors who have expressed the same thing happening to them as well, rather than coming in here and Axing someone that could never be competition to this site, someone you should truly be helping instead. Time to get up from the computer and take a walk around and think about this a little don't you think? Or do you just want to create this Giant 'Big Brother will get you if your not kissing our ass' shadow to hang all over these boards supported by and you should try to comprehend this "Very intelligent and highly successful men from all over the world" This isn't just your tiny little back yard here where you are beginning to shove your apparent power around. Nothing is free in life, you certainly know that you end up paying somehow for everything you do in this life. Be careful, don't ruin what is a very good thing at the moment! I would suggest bringing back Philippe in an obvious show of true power which would in effect tell the world that you are truly not afraid of anything BMW associated and in fact that the creative thinking that originated this site is still intact somewhere at headquarters.

what is it mean he is restricted ? Why ? He is the great guy who created the web-site for us and I think he is a cool guy ! What happend ? I missed the board as work got a little too busy for me, but I would have surely noticed if he would have done something terrible.
I'd like to get him back here where he belongs ! I chatted with him once and he was a cool guy, no reason to ban him out of here !Of course we all have the hot hard head sometimes, and some people actually say or do things that they might regret that later on. We all do that, nobody is perfect we are only humans ! I remember some of the big fights, like the "Tuna" womans (I stil don't know what a hack is a tuna besides a fish) and a V12 emblem, a NOS, a whatever we didn't all agreed 100% but I hope nobody got hurt serously by those chit-chats ! I personly think this board is great and has saved a few hundred dollars for most of us (getting the correct info is invalueable sometimes) and when we talk here, we don't lie (I hope) and we just a bunch of people with good taste and big enough pocket to afford BMW's one of the most beautiful car. Nothing else, but this is vry much in this world ! I have personly sold a few items here and everybody was a true gentleman ! Remember when during christmas time, a few adjuster screw got lost and I sent a replacement again ? Every person who got 2 sets told me that and either paid for it or sent it to somebody else and didn't even wanted to except the shipping charge ! This is something that goes beyond the usual internet connections ! This is a great thing and I'm sure as happy to be part of it and will continue to help every person who needs help. Most of the members are know so much about the car their knowledge is worth thousands of dollars and they help us when we need it ! I feel much more confortable to own a BMW since I know this board ! I know that th estealer won't screw me for stupid little things, I know I can get parts cheaper then dealer price, I know that 94-95 BMW 840Ci has a nikasil block which might need replacement, etc . and all of this and a a lot of other info is from this board !
God bless this board and bring back Philippe 008 !!! (By the way I was part of the 008 nick name !)
