Instead of "banning", perhaps just a slap on the wrist of censure for a predetermined time. Also, the idea to state the rules (probably is somewhere that I haven't seen) is very good. Also, I think the two sites could be mutually beneficial in that they fulfill seperate missions and could cross-link copiously. One sight is designed to pay homage to a specific model (clube31), and the other site (here) is to get a diverse bunch of people together. I don't see why a compromise couldn't be worked out to everyone's satisfaction. Why not just make sure the rule is: No spamming or promoting your own site, but allow third parties to promote the sight if they find it useful. I, for one, would not be a visitor here at all if no other sites were allowed to be posted since that is one of the primary reasons I look for a resource such as bimmer.org (roadfly).
