It was a 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T with a blown 440 in the movie. But if you watch carefully, it turns into a '67 Camaro during the jump into the bulldozer (stripped of it's motor & tranny, and being towed by a 1/4 mile cable from another car at 80 MPH - see link).

Still one of MY favorites, and one of the best car movies of all times...
