Thanks,

since i last posted the question on this topic about a week ago, i've been looking around and everybody has been giving me different opions and answers. I just wanted to make sure that i am spending money on the correct items, don't want to go thru the process of returning parts, too much of a hassel, rather get it correct the first time.
my main concern was rubbing and speedometer being off due to this.

....on exactly what you are asking here, you could spend 15 minutes a most likely get all your questions answered, however, it's been only about 10 days to two weeks ago that this exact question came up and the correct answers were posted, just below us here, so do some skimming until someone gives you some new first hand information. I myself run 17" Fikse that are 9' wide in the front with 245's and 11" wide in the rear with 275 back there. It has been said that 285 X 18 in the rear is no problem?? Good luck in your search.

Hey Guys!

I needs to know some spec on fitting Rims on my 91 850i.I am planning on purchasing a set of Hamann Motorsport PG II 3peice Rims, They come in 18x8.5 thru 18x10.I would like to know what suggestions does anyone have as far as rims size for the front, should i do a 18x8.5 or 9.I an putting 245/40 ZR18's on the front. On the back should i do an 18x9.5 or a 10, which would look better and flush comming in line with tedge of the wheelwell.I also need to know, with this size rim, can i run a 285/35.18 tire on that size rim without messing up the speedometer/or the speedometer being off because of the upgrade in size rim. I was told that i can run the risk of throwing the speedometer reading off a bit by doing so, is this true, because a few people are telling me different stories. Also i have 850 CSI springs on my ride, don't want the car to sit to low, don't need the headache. I was looking for some progressive springs that aren't to l;ow like H & R, i heard that Ebach is sort of stiff. Should i stay with the springs that i already have, or can someone recommend a set of springs so that i can get the look and ride that i want? Does anybody know anything about the dinan or hamann springs,i know that hamann springs are 40mm in the Front an 2mm in thr rear, which is how many inches"/in conversion? I've noticed that some of the 850 owners and running same size springs all the way aroung and some aren't, front & rear and different sizes, which is better to do.
