Lower window with switch and HOLD the down switch for, say, five to ten seconds. (I do it until I hear the soft click from the window relay buried in the dash.) Then raise window and HOLD the up switch for, again, five to ten seconds. Updates the door control module with the limits of window travel in each direction - it counts pulses from a Hall-effect sensor in the motor/gearbox.

Also works for the sunroof.
