On Saturday, July 29 the Blue Ridge Chapter of the BMW CCA (headquartered in Charlottesville, VA) will hold its annual picnic on the Blue Ridge Parkway about 7-8 miles south of Afton, which is where the Skyline Drive ends and the Parkway begins. The location is the Humpback Rocks Picnic Area near Milepost 8.
I'll be there with my 850, and am wondering if any other 8 owners from the DC, Richmond or Tidewater areas would be interested in attending. It's an easy trip from any of those locations, and would be a good time to get together. You'd take I-64 west from Charlottesville and get on the Parkway at the top of Afton Mountain.
The group will get there at about noon, and lunch will be served about 1pm.
