The striker needs adjusting. The striker is the part that the roller rolls in to... It is held by two nuts (10mm I believe). Loosen the nuts and adjust the striker. Or better yet torque the nuts lightly to find the righy adjustment for trial and error by closing the hood and then tighten them.
