It's most pronounced on smooth pavement and really only noticable (and not that bad to begin with) between 55-68 mph, more or less. When accelerating, it seems to go away.

Sorry, I misinterpreted your statement. When I, and my gang of defensive BMW enthusiast friends get together 8^), shakes are shakes or shimmies. Road noise is a rumble. Sorry, I didn't mean to jump all over you (I didn't really, did I?).
