I`ve just bought a 1990 735iA, and get this message now and then on display: " Brake LT circuit". Anyone knows what this is??
How are transm. fluid to be measured? ( hot/cold...)

The most likely culprit is the brake light switch itself. They are easy to change, the hardest part is removing the underdash panels to access the switch. The switch is about US$10 from the dealer.
