Several things can cause this problem:
1. Low refrigerant level.
2. Sticking expansion valve.
3. Disintegrating drier which sends dessicant through system and partially plugs system.

My 750 IL has a fine air conditioning if you start the car cold. however when i run the car and i stop for couple minutes and turn the engine off, when i turn the engine on again the air put out is hot and stays hot. sometimes if my stop is quick and the weather is hot i am forced to leave the car running( which seems very enviromentally unfriendly plus since the car is unlocked anyone could just take off with it. if you had similar problem and someone solved it nicely in Southern Calif please give the specific info and their #. directly: kelfg@aol.com
