Brilliant response Wim. I've never read such crap regarding supposed poor suspension design and strange curves in track control arms...I'm sure BMW would love to make straight components, think of the cost saving...and imagine the salesman in the BMW showroom explaining the fantastic benefit of being able to tell if your suspension is bent with only a ruler and some string....Paul :-)

Just who needs to get some engineering sense here?

You'll notice the same effects, pull to the right and left side front tire wear out (because of compensation steering) with moto guzzi's. Some japanese bikes do the same.
Now you just wonder what these bikes have in common and you'll figure it out I guess. (it's not the twin cil. eng.)
Can't be too big of a problem though unless you (or a previous owner - of course) unsetteled the frame by dropping it while driving.

All cars I know of have thrust bushings and they all destruct over a period of time whether they are made of rubber or plastic. Use your own engineering skills to deduct why these bushings are not made of cast iron.

I know that's a lot of home work for one day, but you are obviously lagging behind.

Cheers,
