Outside Temperature Sensor (archive)

Hello all. My '94 740i's outside temperature sensor has gone beserk. It shows the outside temperature as -535 degrees Fahrenheit. While mildly amusing, it is annoying. This has happened on two other BMWs of mine. Two questions: How do you get the sensor out? It looks like you pull it out of the airdam mount from behind. Not sure though. Second, does anyone have a source for an inexpensive one, or is Bavarian Autosport the way to go? They are not much cheaper than my dealer on this one. Thanks in advance all.
