I'll have to face it,
less sofisticated technology was used to put a man on the moon than that that challenged the challenger.
I can really appreciate your (all-American?) attitude that you and your calculator can outsmart BMW's Sun and IBM workstations and mainframes, not to speak of all the tough road tests. Have you tried the properties of bubble gum in your formulas yet?

Sofar for the >little< math approach.

Try bussiness classes now.
After 100,000? miles (as expected) have the thrust bushings replaced by BMW, or . . .
Do it yourself, save major $$$, spend some of that on your girlfriends (new) underwear and have her make you forget about bushings (not thrust). After that, lean back for another 100,000 miles and enjoy the ride (the BMW).

If I don't go for the second option I must have a design defect and you can have me recalled.

There was no intend to offend, but I did respond strongly as some of your mentionings were out of any context. I do think the bushings of the BMW hold out long enough, I was replacing bushings under a Spitfire 1500 every 4 months or so.

Good luck with your bushings if you really want to hang on to them.
