I beg anyone in the LA/Orange county area! Does anyone have the tool needed to hold the water pump pully in place to remove the fan clutch. I am stuck at this point and need my car for work monday. I have tried the BMWCCA but it seems that everyone went to oktoberfest. Call me if you are willing to help!!! Call anytime. I can pick the tool up anytime! 626-319-1966.

I do the same thing. The fan clutch is left hand thead and I use the big screw driver to lock the pully between the bolts and tap 32 mm wrenh with a rubber mallet, this seem to work.

I know this isn't elegant but I have never used that special tool. I slip a large screwdriver in between the bolts on the pully and have a large open end wrench to turn the fan nut. Remember that the nut is reversed threads!
Good luck.
