Drivers seat issues (again) (archive)

I realise that this is in the archives but I can only find references if the drivers seat lumbar adjust and the passenger mirror tilt feature fail together...

Basically my '89 735i UK spec driver seat lumbar doesn't work, the car is in amazing condition otherwise so I suspect a connection or something.

I notice that there's a 2 core wire (like thick speaker cable) going from the B pillar base to the underside of the seat...this must be a dealer fix as I just got the car and the prev (only other) owner only let the dealer loose on it...any ideas here as to what it might be for ?
