This is not to say that DM Motors is a bad shop. I'm sure others have had a good experience with them. They did well by me otherwise and the other work they did on the car was done very well. I was just surprised that they suggested I put a new transmission in the car without offering or considering alternatives. They also maximized the labor charges.

Of the two shops, I would definitely take my car to German Motor Specialist in Sunnyvale.
