Almost certainly the braking system, engine management, throttle, wiring loom, fuel system etc are wrong or the wrong specification. Also 1995 means an E38 which had a further developed wiring loom.

It's an idea, but personally I think you're mad :-)

As the other response intimates I'd get my M30 straight 6 engine lightened, balanced, gas flowed and chipped.....or better still you could spend your bucks on a 24 valve head from the M1 or the M6 and get an instant 286 BHP, well in Europe at least :-)

I have an 88 e32 in exceptional condition, while driving to work I heard a "chime" sound. I looked at my gauges and the temp was all the way to the extreme high. I couldn't get off the freeway for about 15 minutes, and could not pull off the roadway either. Result, blown head gasket. The engine has 145,000 miles on it. I am thinking of changing the engine and trans out to a 1995 4 litre engine and trans, what are anybody's thoughts on this. Any one ever do this? Thanks. MIke
