does anyone know how to test the rear shocks and accumulators?

i definitely get a bouncy ride. when the car ('90 735il@151k) is parked the left rear side sags about 3 inches, but comes right up when started.

does this mean that my left rear acumulator is shot or is it the shock?
my rear shocks are slightly wet on the bottom around the pressure hose junction.

thanks for any responses

The acumulator is bad.
The self leveling shock usually have a film of oil on them. So long as they are not leaking enough to drip on the pavement the shaft seal is ok. The dampening may be gone but the shaft seal is ok.
