89 750iL probably means a Pioneer unit driving the BMW equivalent of the CDX-M30 utilizing a round 13 pin connection at the changer (Pioneer's changer uses a retangular 13 pin connector). Find a head unit compatible with the "M" series changers. You might want to remove the radio, open it up and clean the volume control mechanisms/circuits with contact cleaner or similiar.
The volume control on the radio to my 1989 735il has decided to take a giant dump. I don't want to replace the radio with a BMW unit. I have the stock CD changer and I want to know what head unit is compatable with it. Any ideas out there?
Thanks much.
