Hazards Signals doesnt work.., NEED HELP!!!!!!! (archive)

I have a 1988 735i. It has an intermittant problem with the left back signal lights. It get stuck in the on postition even with the switch in another position and with the car turned off and the keys out of the ignition. Does anyone know what is the cause of this. I can pull the fuse and they go out, but upon replacing the fuse back they come back on. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
