From my understanding the VIN you gave:

WBAGB810402753361

may not be a valid vin #. The 10th digit "0" in the # indicates it is a Euro version, where as a letter (such as "K" if it was a 1989) would indicate model year. The 11th digit (yours is "2") should be a letter indicating where it was built ("A"= in Munich). The code shows that the car does not have SRS (airbag), which may not be right either, given it is a 750. Also, the model code of GB81 sounds like it should be a short wheel base 735, but the 81 engine code doesn't match.....

In short, either you are being scammed that this is a valid vin, you copied the vin incorrectly, or the vin #'s for euro version cars were much different......not sure which, as most of the vins i've seen have had a model yr designation. You may want to do the math to see if the check digit (the 9th) matches....I think Wayne's link below tells how to do the math for the check.

I'm sure we'd be interested to hear what you find out...hopefully a post of an interesting outcome from this will offset the WOBW from your multiple posts asking this question. :-)

After the WMI (either WBA or WBS) in your 17 DIGIT VIN comes the VDS ..

The first 4 characters of the VDS tell you what type of car you have ..
