I just went down this road myself so I will throw in my two bits worth.

I am not sure how much of the dash you have removed, if it is enough to get the top of the heater box off, then I would recommend a replacement heater box cover. As it sounds like you are also missing the motors and associated linkage, Your best bet is to find a car at a wrecker that has the necessary parts, otherwise I suspect that the parts bill alone from the dealer will be signicant. I was quoted a price of 300.00 ( Canadian ) for the heater top alone. I have read that the motors and mounts from 1990 and newer cars were redesigned and improved but I haven't seen any to verify this.

If you only have the bottom of the dash out in order to get at the motors and don't want to rip the rest of the dash apart, then you could try fabricating mounts. It depends a lot on your mechanical ingenuity. I was able to find the broken parts of my motor mounts and use copious amounts of JB Weld Epoxy to rebuild them.

If you go the replacement route, I would recommend beefing up the mounts by filling the sides with JB Weld. The mounts are notoriously weak and this increases the strength substaintially.

Hope this helps
