I tried the computer test that I got off the Tech Forum at Bavauto.com and it doesn't work, has anyone else tried it and it work?, it's the one when you turn the key to "on" but don't start the car, and press the accelerator peddle all the way to the floor and fully release it 5 times(fairly quickly).

I also tried this test and it didn't work. I have a 750il 1989
