Have you actually tried to remove the panel without removing the speaker and the mirror?

Where did you get the idea that they need to be removed? If my memory serves me correctly Bentley does not include removal of these items in the door panel removal steps.

I went through the front door panel removal exercise about 6 weeks ago on my E32 735iL (to repair a broken door lock assembly). I did not have to remove the speaker and I did not have to remove the mirror. The door panel removal and installation went just fine without any damage whatsoever to the speaker (or the mirror).

I have no idea what kind of glazing my car has, but I rather doubt that this would affect the inner door panel removal procedure.

I repeat there is no need to remove the door mounted speakers next to the mirrors and there is no need to remove the mirrors when removing the inner front door panel.
