'88 735i 5sp and strongly recommending the Bentley manual to everyone

Hm, 5sp 735 - must be a kick. RE the rear power - is that the one under the back seat or to what are you referring? And, what is the Bentley manual? Im new at this - obviously.
Thanks again,
Jonquil

Jonquil:
Yes the 5sp IS a gas, only about 400 or so came to the US that way. Definite keeper. Keep your eyes peeled for WimE, he always addds something worthwhile to the discussion, AND it sounds like he has a 740i 5sp in the Netherlands. That beastie never came here, at least officially.

Anyway, the second fuse box IS under the rear seat, check a few postings down, or see http://www.bimmer.org/e32/messages/messages/9325.html. You need to remove 3 screws and unclip the cover... fuses #40 - 43 will be located together in the front left corner of the distribution box... the "most square" corner (should make sense when you see it).

have fun

eric

OOPS, almost forgot.. Bentley is "the" book, BMW 7 Series Service Manual, published by Robert Bentley. ISBN 0-8376-0328-5. Try http://www.bimmer.org/e32/messages/messages/9340.html, they are advertising $79.00 for the manual.

Another great resource is the BMW Parts CDROM, available from Central Lettershop for $99.00 or so. Check the posts/archives.
