Does anybody know how you can remove only the mirror without breaking it?
The heater on my driver's side has stopped working and I want to get to it.

Thanks

The way I removed my mirror was to use a flat tip screwdriver. On the bottom under the mirror is a small hole. If you look inside you should see a white bevel like object. You might need to position the mirroe electrically. You should see a white ring like item with some notches (3) or indents where a flat screwdriver can fit. Place the screwdriver in one of them and you must rotate the ring either towards the left or right which it will detach itself from the complete mirror. Installation is the opposite direction fo removal.
