The 3HP22 tranny in my old 83 528e leaked out of the vent when I refilled it. I had it on quite an incline while changing the old fluid & filled it too much too fast. After I took it off the jack stands & everything pumped thru & the level stabilized, I hosed it off & the leaking stopped.
