wife said 91 735 tranny went bang??????? (archive)

Thought i was needing a flex disc because of a worsening vibration....thought it failed when wife called to say car dead. Took off heat shied and saw drive shafts all connected......output shaft failure? Any ideas how much this will cost me? The car has 118,000 miles.
