Brian,

I too am still searching for my perfect 750IL. This car is the Hot Rod for my generation. It’s relatively cheap and starts out with 300bhp. Here is a list of the mods I plan to make as soon as I find the right car.

Dinan performance chips (this car has needs two of just about everything).
Dinan transmission chip
Dinan shift kit and trans cooler
Dinan free flow exhaust
Dinan stage 2 suspension upgrade
K & N cold air induction
If you’re going to go fast don’t forget the Brembo big brake kit

That will put you very close 400bhp at price tag well below cars with comparable performance.

Good luck,

Rob
Searching 88-92 750IL

I realize this is a board regarding mechanical woes, but in reading the archives I began to wonder what people do to increase performance in a 7 series.

Is this the type of car that epitomizes the luxurious ride, and attracts an owner of less enthusiasm (performance wise)?
What is the most common performance enhancing fro the e32? Low profile tires?

I also noticed in catalogs carrying replacement and performance parts, there are many items not listed for the e32. What gives?

Thanks,
Brian W.
Haven't found an e32/e38 yet!
