I am considering buying a "88 735i. It is silver w/ black interior. Exterior is literally perfect but the interior is worn but is readily fixable. This car has very high mileage ie. 295K. Local BMW shop has serviced this car since new and removed the head last summer and reworked it. They say it is in pristine condition. Private owner is selling...he wants 6K. Any ideas , opinions etc.
I currently own a '87 635 L6. I'm a believer but I want some advice from 735 owners. TIA

I wouldn't touch that for any money. That car is on ts last leg. Only paid 6000.00 for my 88 735i 3 years ago and only had 112,000 miles. still had to put about 2000.00 into it to get it up to specks. I would keep looking there out there with less miles . Heck mine only still has 132,000 miles and all the work has been done. Good luck, jjp
