I was told by a guy in USENET that these transmissions have a output clutch issue in that they were underengineered. If reverse still works it's the output clutch. There was a TSB on it and that knowledgeable trans shops charge $350-$500 plus R&R transmission ($200-$350) to perminatly fix the problem. You should also do the drive shaft "while your at it". Take it to a driveshaft specialist to have the universal joints replaced with conventional type and high speed balanced. ($350-$500)
Don't let the corner idiot convince you you need a transmission. Change fluid every 20k miles!!!!!!I need to do it on my car, now that I think of it!
