YES! THe chip which BAS originally sold was a Dinan, but I understand they may have their own now. Dinan actually attempted to re-map it for me without success. I still had rough idle, rich mix despite a full tuneup, new oxygen sensor, and no vacuum leak. It did get a little better when I used the stock air filter instead of "K&N" but never resolved.

I have two friends who have an E32 and E34 who had similar problems and went with Jim Conforti chips to good effect. Clearly, if you use a generic chip sometimes you have a slightly different series ecu for which the new tables don't work well.

If you unplug your O2 sensor (Driver's side base of engine, 1 1/2 inch round connector with wires on ech side) and let it run for 5 minutes it should go in open loop mode and run smoothly if the chip is the problem.
