Since you guys are on this thread, I thought I might add a potential mod:

In order to get maximum cooling on hot (105degree 95+% humidity days around DC) I added a bypass switch on the partial speed resistor for the electric fan. This allows the fan when started to immediately go to top speed. Now while my friends often have overheating problems and crack their hoods, mine stays cool longer during drives of 30minutes or less (my typical comutes. No noticeable loss in mileage or alternator failures from the additional electrical consumption.
