1) never had this myself, so check the archives for "passenger door"

2) trick is apprently in the functioning of the passenger's door (in case of loss of battery power etc). Turn the key further in the open direction while holding the handle up, apparently - again I have not done this myself, but have seen it in the ownders handbook and on the forum... don't force it and make it worse without checking first...!!
