The sword is accessed from the drivers footwell on right hand drive cars.
Remove the transmission tunnel carpeted trim and the panel which fits around the pedals (this panel also includes the drivers glovebox which can come out still fixed to this panel).The sword is near the back on your left.With this panel removed you have to undo the universal joint on the steering column shaft(steering wheel end) by removing the M8 bolt completely and then push the shaft down towards the engine bay.For ref, the multi plug connector on mine was green and the sword was held in by 2 pozi head screws.Once removed,the sword slides out,but not easily as you have to get past the steering shaft and the pedals.
I replaced the mosfets and comparator which seems to have cured my problem of variable fan speed control.
