Unless you have a 12 cclinder engine and electronics just sitting around, the cost of upgrading a car of limited value to this engine is not warranted for most.

Installing a 745 system, or just sensible engine upgrades can duplicate the 245hp of the B9 Alpina. I found this to be quite adequate with a 5 spd.

Just a thought; (actually two of them: l1. call Dinan and see what they can do to put some muscles into an e23, or find a hot-rod shop and have them put in a small block chevy with a 4L80e trans and build an e 23 that will eat their lunch and steal their llunch money!
