Bill, after advising you of my upcoming 10 day absence, and the delay it would cause in shipping the item to you (BEFORE we concluded the deal, BTW), you needn't have taken the accusatory tone you did.
I sent you photographic proof that the brochure existed and that it was about to be mailed, as well as the fact that I had NOT cashed your check (still haven't). As I pointed out, most sellers will NOT ship to private parties until the checkes have cleared the bank, anyway. I didn't expect my trust in YOU "rewarded" by an accusatory tone toward ME!
Both the check and the brochure are still sitting here. The check will NOT be cashed as I am not a crook and I don't need your $11.25, but I choose not to sell the brochure to someone with what I perceive as a poor attitude.
As to snottiness on my part, I simply pointed out that getting nasty early on proves nothing and solves nothing, especially when the the other guy already has your check. Why incite someone to do the wrong thing (and keep your money)?
Politeness still counts in life, Bill.
If you want your appropriately "VOIDED" check back, feel free to send me a SASE, as I have no desire to do business with you, either. Otherwise, I will destroy it as a safeguard to you so it cannot ever be cashed. If you wish a scanned copy of the felt marker "VOID" on the check (then wish it destroyed), drop me an email.
I neither want your sense of security, or my honesty at stake over this unfortunate incident.
Bob
Over a month ago I asked if anyone had a 1988 e32 6cyl brochure for sale.I was contacted by Bob C....... who asked for a check and agreed to send one he had. Given that all the folks I have dealt with on this sight have been at the very least, honorable, I sent the check on 11/28/00. After not recieving said brochure as of 11/13 or thereabouts, I wrote an email which was curt, to the point, but certainly not out of line. What I got in return was a snotty sermon from a very insecure looser scolding me for "showing my temper". and telling me
that he was both nail and hammer and that I did not know what I was. My pal Bob had opted to keep my money and the brochure. Is there anyone out there who is honorable and would like to sell me an 88' e32 brochure?
P.S. Dear Bob, my Karma is fine, hows yours?
Dear Bob,
My Karma's still good; How's yours?
Enjoy your e32 brochure!
