I own both a 750il and a expedition, boy what two
completely different animals!!
Run a carfax on the Beemer, and check the block
serial number, or a dealer leak down test. This
should give you the info to make a decision about
the potential engine problem.

PS: The 750il always puts a smile on my face, and
the expedition only when it snows.................
